Suresh has performed in the company of legends Dr Semmangudi Srinivasa Iyer,        Dr S Balachander, Palghat K V Narayanaswamy, D K Jayaraman, Dr Balamurali Krishna, Guruji T V Gopalakrishnan, Sri T N Krishnan, Lalgudi Jayaraman, M S Gopalakrishnan, N Ramani, Dr T K Murthy, Palghat Raghu, Umayalpuram Sivaraman, Trichy Sankaran, Guru Karaikkudi Mani Ustad Alla Rakah, Ustad Zakir Hussain, Bickram Ghosh and most of the eminent musicians of the present Indian  scene. Suresh has the unique credit of  sharing the stage with Guitarists Larry Coryell, Peter Sprague, Pianist Paul Grabowsky, Leszek Możdżer and Alister Spence, Trombone wizard Adrien Sheriff, Saxophonists Sandy Evens, George Brookes, Trumpet maestro Scot Tinkler, Drummers Pete Lockett, Taffa Cissé, Greg Ellis, Percussionists  Zohar Fresco, Vannessa Tomilnson, Alisandro Tomasitti and Composer Eero Hämeenniemi.

Suresh has been hailed as the “Numero Uno Classical ghatam" , Rocking power house of ghatam" and “Jonty Rhodes of Laya intricacies”   by reviewers and Critics. He was on a Fellowship granted by Govt. of India between 2014-16.

Majority of the next generation ghatam players today are students and inspired followers of Suresh Vaidyanathan.

 A Guinness Book of World Records holder for longest Healing concert Participation, Suresh is the only ghatam player recorded for Pop legend Paul Simon for his recent Album “So beautiful or so what!” 

Besides composing music, he is also a creative writer about music and Society and has penned many a poems in tamil.

Holding a Masters degree in Rhythmology from University of Madras, Suresh holds a masters in Commerce, Diploma in Sanskrit and currently pursuing PhD in Ghatam
